Community is essential to health and wellness, welcome to ours.

As a physician, I practice patient centred, evidence based rural family/acute care medicine; and have special interests in wilderness/mountain, functional/preventative, international/disaster relief, elder/palliative, psychedelic and community/health-care provider mental health medicine. Volunteering with Search and Rescue and on the ski hill on my time off.

RemarkableYou is a Non-Profit Wellness Below is a refined version that maintains the heart and authenticity of the original story, while clarifying the mission and context:

RemarkableYou is a nonprofit wellness initiative and preventative medicine resource that I founded with a simple yet profound intention: to make health-promoting activities and spaces freely or affordably accessible to everyone.

How it all began: My early medical career in urgent and emergency care was invigorating. I was drawn to the excitement of critical interventions, lifesaving procedures, and the immediacy of helping patients in their most vulnerable moments. Yet, over time, I found myself growing frustrated with the reactive nature of our healthcare system. Too often, I would think, “If only I had met you 10 years earlier—maybe you wouldn’t be here, today, struggling to draw your next breath.” That quiet, persistent thought nudged me toward preventive, functional, and primary care medicine. In the setting of rural medicine, I could blend the acute care I loved with a more proactive approach. But even this had its limitations.

While I could stay late after my shifts, offering free counseling sessions and creating individualized health and wellness plans, the activities I prescribed—yoga classes, mental health counseling, plant and psychedelic medicine therapies, sound healing, gym memberships, nutritious foods, biohacking tools, breathwork sessions—were often expensive and out of reach. In today’s world, with mounting living costs, these healthful pursuits frequently feel like luxuries, even though we all know that consistency in practicing them is key.

Enter RemarkableYou: To bridge that gap, I purchased a property to serve as a shared wellness sanctuary—a place I call home but one that opens its doors wide to friends, family, and the community. Here, practitioners are invited to hold classes, workshops, and sessions in a supportive, healing environment and use these spaces for free. The understanding is that by utilizing these spaces for free, they must also lower or waiving fees for the community, with the overarching goal of making preventive wellness accessible for all.

Step 2: Create this website, acquire discounts for my patients/community/anyone in need of these preventative medicine/wellness activities, therapies and medicines, and post these opportunities so that they can be easily accessed. As well as give me a space to plan and promote the free wellness events I organize. If you have access to such resources to share for free or reduced cost, or want to swing a hammer to help build free wellness spaces, please contact me, and let us build community and improve humanity together!

Over time, as I’ve poured my own resources into building and organizing this haven—and as more community-oriented music, wellness events, and gatherings have taken shape—I’ve been humbled by the kindness of those who want to help. Many people have offered their time, skills, and financial support to help this vision grow. Their generosity gave me a the reason for a more “official” avenue for donations. Every penny goes directly into the programs, the facilities, and the practitioners who teach and heal here, ensuring that the cost to participants remains minimal or free. If you want to donate click here. Thank you for joining us on this journey toward a healthier, more connected community.

This simple website was also formed as a patient/colleague resource to access some of the information I counsel about daily, learn a little bit about who I am as your practitioner, as well as, plan/sign up for specific wellness and wilderness training events I hold throughout the year. You’ll notice that there are no quotes of “-Dr. Browne” on this website, and that I talk in first person because yes, it is I, and therefore you know that I am personally putting a lot of intention and thought into how to help you, and hopefully induce the medicine of community - and no it is not a cult, I think - laughter too, is a medicine in its own right (see Comedy Shows at the Astral Dome/Sound Sanctuary)! If there is anything you wish to see on here that you think may be helpful for your journey to health and wellness, please let me know!

As usual, less formal, but with a lot of extra love, research and intention to make up for it!

With love and gratitude,

Sebastian (Dr. Browne)
